In addition, some parts may be covered under manufacturer's warranty. Intel CPUs for example, carry up to a three year warranty. It is the buyer's responsibility to seek this coverage.
Exclusions:

Damage caused by accident, misuse or unauthorized repair is not covered.

Data is not covered. Users should back up all data and applications prior to repair.

Defects disclosed in the auction are not covered by warranty and are NOT grounds to return the item.

Warranty: None means that the item cannot be returned, exchanged and are non refundable.

There will be no refunds or returns if contact is not initiated within the warranty period.
SOFTWARE POLICY: Megahertz Computer Inc.(The company) will work only on licensed software. Pirated Software is not supported. If your operating system is reinstalled (Windows), we will reinstall the Operating System, Drivers, Updates and Patches as necessary. Please understand that any additional software that require licenses- example: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint ect.) that license will have to be provided by you before you pick up the computer or we will be unable to reinstall them. They are NOT part of Microsoft Windows Licensing. Also you are required to, reinstall your printers, scanners, cameras and any other peripherals on your computer. Please make sure to tell us of any software you would like us to install and provide us the necessary information and licenses. Software installation is charged additionally when requested. When giving us your computer, if you do not supply us with the password to the administrative account, that password may be removed so we can continue our work to repair your machine in a timely fashion. The password will be blank or “megahertz” all lower case, we do not use any other password unless provided by you.
ANTIVIRUS POLICY: Antivirus software is a timed license and expires usually 1 or 2 years after purchase, however many computers come with free trials of software that only work for 15-60 days. We will need your media and License to reinstall this software. Antivirus is available for purchase from an approved vendor. Please understand, we try to remove all viruses/spyware/malware that we can, but also we can not always remove all, unless we erase the machine. Many viruses install beacons that attract the virus back to the computer, and some people engage in risky behavior on the internet, we can not guarantee against reinfection even if you purchase antivirus from us. Understand that no antivirus software will protect you 100% from all viruses/spyware/malware.
HARDWARE POLICY: To make sure Megahertz Computer gives you the best possible service at the best price, the company stocks many third party parts to quickly fix your computer. This is done to eliminate long wait times for parts, and lower your cost of repair. It is important the customer understand that in many cases the parts that are replaced in the computer will be from a third party manufacturer. In all cases those parts will be of similar or greater quality to the original but the part number and brand may not be the same. If any functionality is sacrificed you will be made aware first of the trade off and it will be your decision. Please note that if the customer requests a part from the original manufacturer that there will be a higher cost associated with the repair, also the time to repair will take longer as we need to order the requested part which might have to come from another country. This can add as much as 3 weeks to the repair time, and we can not be responsible for delay.
WARRANTY POLICY: Antivirus clean-ups have a 24-HOUR warranty starting at the time of pickup. If you feel you are still having an issue it must be returned within the time period. We cannot control user behavior and reinfection will result in additional charges. Hardware replaced by us has a 30-day warranty as well as a 90-day to 1-year limited warranty from the manufacturer. After 30-days it is the responsibility of the customer to contact the manufacturer to redeem the warranty. These warranties do not include any labor charges.
DATA POLICY: The company will attempt to protect the integrity of your data. Please understand that we do not guarantee against data loss and the sole responsibility to back up data belongs with the customer. We will make the best attempt to provide care for your data but mechanical or software failure may prevent us from being successful. However any attempt to recover data will result in labor charges. The company will only hold customers data for 30-days, after which time the data will be removed from our recovery storage servers.
PRIVACY POLICY: The company will not give out personal or company information to any other persons or companies. All private data and passwords are not saved in an unsecured location and are only accessible by a company employee. Company employees are trained HIPAA certified, company data is treated with highest security and is not discussed outside the facility.
RETURN POLICY: Returns for refunds must be made within 7-days. After 7-days only store credit will be issued. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Returns must be made within 30-days and all returns must be in original packaging, complete and accompanied with the receipt. Computer systems, laptops, and printers are subject to a 20% restocking fee, unless exchanged for equal or better product. Defective products after 30-days must be returned to the manufacturer. We will not accept any item for manufacturers warranty.
There is a MINIMUM charge of: $49.00 for Desktops, $49.00 for Laptops, $60.00 for Servers.
Any item left over 30-days becomes property of Megahertz Computer.
